Josie GuarraciVice President of Client Services

Josie joined Leslie Consulting Group in 2010 and has over 30 years of experience working with many group insurance carriers.  Josie is the Vice President of Client Services and not only is she responsible for the management, training, and development of our Client Service team but she is also assigned to manage our larger clients for any of their service-related inquiries.  Josie’s top priority is to have great relationships with all clients and provide excellent service by understanding their needs and ensuring that the service provided by all of Leslie Consulting Group’s account managers is best-in-class.

Jay HopkinsVice President, Group Retirement

Jay joined Leslie Consulting in November 2015 and is currently Vice President of Group Retirement. Jay has overall responsibility for group retirement and savings clients with The Leslie Group and works closely with team members to design and customize group retirement plans that meet the needs of clients in an ever-changing landscape. Jay’s team heavily focuses on the education of plan members to help guide them through their savings journey.

Jay has an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Toronto where he received the Phillip Robinson Scholarship for Leadership and Excellence in Academics and Sports and Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Academic Excellence Awards.

Matthieu BedardVice President, Group Benefits

Matthieu joined Leslie Consulting Group in 2012 and is currently the Vice President of Group Benefits. In this role, he oversees several operational functions and manages a block of key clients, as well as a team of Directors, Consultants and Employee Benefits Specialists. Matthieu works closely with his team and industry partners to ensure our clients always receive value, with an advocate offering expert advice, insightful data, and creative solutions.

Matthieu’s focus is on maintaining Leslie Consulting Group’s competitive advantage through its core consulting services, vendor relationships, and new technology.

Matthieu is an MBA graduate from the University of Liverpool.

Chris GoodaleVice President, Finance and Operations, Compliance Officer

Chris joined Leslie Consulting in February 2015 and is currently the Vice President of Finance and Operations. As Vice President of Finance and Operations, Chris oversees all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation, and the development of appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses. In his Operations role, Chris will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization.

Chris received his Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Accounting and a Minor in Finance in 2012 from Ryerson University.

Chris is engaged in the community as a member of the Covenant House Guts and Glory Committee which helps support Canada’s largest agency serving youth who are homeless, trafficked or at risk.

Daniel HenryPresident

Dan joined Leslie Consulting Group in 2022 as President. With over 30 years of employee benefits experience, his objective is to accelerate the continuous growth that Leslie Consulting Group has experienced. Dan is recognized for his extensive knowledge of the industry and proven ability to develop new markets, create growth, and foster success within his teams. Dan has held several leadership roles at various National insurance companies in Canada.

Dan has a B.A. from the University of Guelph and a GBA Designation.

Shawn LeslieChairman and CEO

Shawn Leslie has over 40 years of experience in the employee benefits Industry, working initially with a major group insurance and group retirement plan provider for 12 years. Shawn worked in western Canada prior to moving to Toronto in 1982 and has held many senior positions in the employee benefits field currently Chairman and CEO of Leslie Consulting. Shawn founded Leslie Consulting in 1992 with the objective of increasing value for Canadian corporations in the employee benefits area.

Shawn has a B.A. from the University of Manitoba and a CLU Designation. In 2012, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medallion.
